Planning Permission Granted For Seven Storey Primary Healthcare Centre On CMP Site

Planning permission has been granted for a seven-storey Primary Healthcare Centre on the Kinsale Road

The former CMP Dairies site has already gotten permission for the large residential ‘Creamfields’ development.

"The site served as the landmark CMP milk processing centre until its closure in 2006, at the height of the Celtic Tiger.

The 3.39-hectare brownfield site, located at the junction of Tramore Road and Kinsale Road on the southside, has lain mainly unused since.

An Bord Pleanála granted planning permission for a 237 million euro residential scheme on the location in June.

The ‘Creamfields’ development is owned by a by subsidiary of Dairygold Co-Op, and will contain a 15-storey 'landmark' tower, 189 one-bed, 338 two-bed, 48 three-bed, and 34 four-bed homes, as well as a creche, a coffee kiosk and gym.

Now, the planning authority has given the developers approval to build a seven-storey Primary Healthcare Centre on the same site.

The health centre will serve the people areas of Ballyphehane, Frankfield, Grange, Greenmount, The Lough, Togher and Turners Cross, .

It will house GP practices, a pharmacy, HSE services, a dentist, counselling services, occupational therapists, physiotherapists speech and language therapists - among others services.
