Planning permission has been refused for a large-scale student accommodation development on the site of a former convent in the city
The Irish Examiner reports planning was refused by An Bord Pleanála because the location, quantity, and quality was substandard.
The development would have seen the demolition of the former convent building and the construction of 42 apartments and 224 studio apartments.
Overall, the project would have provided a 450-bed student accommodation centre.
