Plans are in place for the development of a primary care centre in Youghal.
It's expected the centre will provide accommodation for GP's and a number of HSE services such as public health and community nursing, occupational therapy, speech & language and mental health
The plans are part of the overall redevelopment of St Raphael's health campus in the town which includes the construction of a new community nursing unit, a residential facility for older people and updated ambulance base.
The Echo reports that the next stage in the process is for a capital submission to be made for its funding through the National Capital Plan.
