The poor quality of the bus service in Cork county is be raised directly with the Transport Minister and the National Transport Authority
Commuters say the service is unreliable and they are regularly let down by late and cancelled buses which, for many, means missing college lectures or turning up late for work
Councillors say the issue has deepened since Christmas with the volume of cancelled or late services on the rise
Crosshaven based Fianna Fail Councillor Audrey Buckley told RedFM News that the poor quality of the bus service is negatively impacting people's lives
"I mean I've heard parents screaming at me saying their kids have missed exams, because the buses haven't shown up and parents scrambling to pick up their kids to drop them off for exams or to work. Unfortunately it's very unreliable"
