The Port of Cork cruise season is coming to an end as the MS Borealis is welcomed to Cork.
Over 115,000 passengers on 90 Cruise Ships visited Cork and Bantry this year and contributed an estimated €70 million to the national economy and on average €14 million per year to the local economy.
The Port of Cork says the cruise sector plays a crucial role in the country's tourism and hospitality industries and the outlook for next year is even more positive, with in excess of 100 vessels scheduled to call to the Port of Cork so far.
The MS Borealis cruise ship docked quayside at Cobh Cruise Terminal this morning and is scheduled to depart at 5pm this evening.
