President Michael D Higgins Praises Young Cork Boy's Fundraising Efforts As 'Courageous'

A letter from the President arrived at Oliver Lynch's home yesterday.

Seven year old Oliver Lynch from Ballincollig was born with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, however that hasn't stopped him raising over €26,000 for three Cork Charities by pledging to walk 5 kilometres outside his front door.

Oliver finds walking very difficult and has been using a walker to help him walk 100 metres a day for the past 21 days.

Speaking to RedFM News, Oliver's mother Alison says the letter means the world to Oliver:
