Heineken Ireland has informed publicans that the price of their draught products is to rise by around 6 cent later this month.
The 2.8% price rise will come into effect from the 24th of February.
This latest rise comes as Diageo's products went up by 6 cent a pint on Monday.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Pat Crotty CEO of the Vintners Federation of Ireland says publicans have been hit with a raft of increases:
"We have seen lots of in place. I mean, like energy has gone nuts over recent years, insurance, very significant increases. this increase from both the brewers is less than three percent, is two point nine and two point days respectively. if every increase that affected every household and every small business this year was of that order. We'd actually manage."
