The crew will be pushing the vintage fire engine from the east end of Oliver Plunkett street to the Mercy Hospital between 10am and 3pm.
Almost €2,000 has already been raised for the Mercy's Hospital's Paediatric Oncology Outreach Nursing Service since the start of the month.
The service allows children to be treated for cancer in their own homes in the city and county and beyond Cork and is the only service of its kind in the country.
The firefighters taking part have described the children undergoing cancer treatment as the "real heroes."
