A protest calling for a ceasefire in Palestine and Lebanon has been held at City Hall.
The rally held by the Cork Council of Trade Unions is marking a year of the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
Speaking to RedFM News, Adrian Kane from SIPTU says pressure must be put on the Irish Government help bring the conflict to an end:
"I don't think anyone thought we would be in the place a year on, but they're is nothing preventing this from going on for another year unless good minded people put pressure on Governments all over the world to ensure that there is some sanctions against the state of Israel, because that's the only way we're going to bring this to an end."
