The families whose babies' organs were sent to Belgium with clinical waste by Cork University Maternity Hospital are staging a protest outside the hospital tomorrow.
The Voice of our Angels group say delays to the publication of a review into why the organs of 18 babies who died at CUMH are unnacceptable and are causing their families additional stress.
Jamie O'Hara of RedFM News spoke to one of the mothers involved:
"On the 11th of May 2020, we got a phone call from the hospital to say that we cannot get our son Lee's organs back. It was only after the phone call that we realized what he actually said and when I told Glenn he questioned it. So we asked the hospital to send out a detailed letter of why we couldn't get the organs back or what had happened to the organs. Two weeks later, we got a letter just to say sorry for any anxiety it had caused us."
