A National Day of Action today will demand urgent action to tackle the crisis within Children's Disability Services.

There'll be a protest on the Grand Parade in the city this morning, along with protests in Leinster House in Dublin and Enniscorthy Town Square in Co. Wexford

There's concern that over 100,000 children with disabilities are on waiting lists across the country.

FUSS (Families United for Services and Support) founder, Rachel Martin says many children with disabilities aren't getting ANY services:

"Between 50-75% of children are receiving no services at all.

"Psychology seems to be one of the biggest services, a Down Syndrome Ireland survey says that 95% of children are without psychology.

"Not only that, we have a major crisis in respite care. Families are having difficulty getting respite care, there are not enough spaces for them."
