The protest is being organised by Aontú and will take place between 1 and 3pm tomorrow.
17 protests are being held outside hospitals across the Republic and Northern Ireland.
Speaking in the Dáil on Thursday Aontú leader Peadar Tóibín told Tánaiste Micheál Martin that the protests will involve unions, sports clubs, and civic society groups at certain hospitals.
He described the actions as an “unprecedented response” from citizens who he says are deeply frustrated with the damage that is being done to the Health Service and has highlighted that there are 6,000 fewer hospital beds now compared to 2008.
Cork University Hospital is consistently among the most overcrowded hospitals in the country.
The protest outside CUH will start with a minute’s silence for what Deputy Tóibín says are the “hundreds of people who are dying every year due to overcrowding in Emergency Departments.”
