A number of protesters have been removed from UCC after they shouted down the Tanaiste as he made his opening address at the Government’s Consultative Forum on International Security policy.
The Forum is designed to build understanding and generate discussions on our foreign, security, and defence policies.
Up to 50 people had gathered outside the Forum to protest with People Before Profit describing it as a "sham" and a number of protestors were also inside the lecture hall
As Minister Micheal Martin took to his feet, protestors took to their feet and began shouting the Tanaiste down.
“Your willingness to engage is the barometer of its success.”

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Dominic Carroll from the Cork Neutrality League who was also at the Forum said all his group wanted to do was raise a number of points of order and they weren't given the opportunity to do so.
"We drew up very short points of order, which obviously expressed our dissatisfaction with the composition of the forum, and the sheer purpose of the forum - very brief.
"The chairwoman can decide whether or not she should even accept the points of order, we wanted to respect the democracy of the forum, and that's why we just wanted to make our points of order.
"We just weren't given the opportunity to do so."
