A public meeting to discuss ‘the future of healthcare’ in Blarney is set to take place.
The meeting comes after it was revealed that local GP service, Ashdale Centre, is to lose its only doctor at the end of December.
Locals are concerned that the move will mean the remaining service will become even busier and may lead to some people being forced to travel outside Blarney for basic medical healthcare.
The meeting which has been organised by Sinn Féin members in Cork, will take place at 11am tomorrow in Blarney Community Hall.
