Questions have been raised about how long it will take to fully repair all storm damaged roads and bridges in East Cork
The repair bill after Storm Babet stands at €55 million and just over €16 million has been allocated to Cork County Council for these works this year
Environment Minister Eamon Ryan says the repair bill will be fully funded but says the timeline on the works lies with the Council
Speaking to RedFM News Local TD James O'Connor says the people of East Cork are sick of waiting for the infrastructure to be restored
"I am calling on Eamon Ryan to urgently allocate the required funding that Cork County Council needs so we can reopen damaged roads, so we can press ahead with the much needed repairs, because Storm Babet took place in October, and we are now some months along from when this damage occurred"
