A rally will be held in Cork tomorrow in support of demonstrators in Iran.
Iranian students and staff at UCC are organising the protest - to show solidarity with the demonstrations which have swept across Iran in the last month.
The dissent began after a 22-year-old woman, Mahsa Amini, died in custody after being arrested by the morality police.
She had allegedly violated Iran's strict rules requiring women to cover their hair with a hijab, or headscarf.
Women in Iran have since been publicly cutting their hair, or ripping off their headscarves calling for more freedoms.
It is seen as the most serious challenge to the Iranian authorities in decades.
The Cork protest will take place in front of the city library, at half past two tomorrow, at the same time as a large Freedom of Iran protest in Berlin .
The organisers say they welcome public support.
