The rate for people being treated for alcohol misuse in Cork is one of the highest in the country.
That's according to the latest study from the Health Research Board which shows the rate of treatment here
between 2015 and 2019 was 365 per 100,000.
That figure is the 7th highest in the country with the national rate at 270 per 100,000.
The Echo reports that only 2-3% of people with alcohol dependence enter treatment each year.
