Cork GAA says the appetite for hurling this season drove them to decide to open a Rebel Fan Zone at the weekend to accommodate fans
The free family friendly event for the All Ireland clash between Cork and Clare will be held at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday
The fanzone is a fully ticketed affair and will see the match shown on large screens at the stadium with music and entertainment before and after the game
Sinead O'Keeffe Commercial Director of Cork GAA told RedFM News tickets are available from now and it's a great use of the stadium:
"Having the opportunity to open SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh to our fans in Cork on this fantastic day where cork are participating in the All Ireland Hurling Final is just a really important thing to do. And also, we've gotten very good feedback from our fans. The appetite is really there for us. "
