Plans for the redevelopment of Cork city’s Docklands are set to move ahead.

The Echo report that appeals against two major developments have been withdrawn.

O’Callaghan Properties had lodged plans in 2021 for a mixed used development of four new buildings, along with the conversion of the Odlums building.

A separate application was also lodged for a proposed rehabilitation hospital.

Appeals were lodged to An Bord Pleanala after Cork City Council had granted permission, however they have now been withdrawn.

Works are set to begin on Kennedy Quay later in the year, with construction set to begin in early 2024.
