RedFM's Stephanie Rainey will be jetting off to states in the coming weeks to perform at the America's Got Talent live shows.
The singer performed her original song 'Please don't go' with her friend Sarah Power at the competitions auditions
The judges were very impressed with the performance - with Simon Cowell saying he absolutely loved it
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville show, she says they'd like to have a shot at winning:
"I'd be scared to say that I'd like to win it, because I don't even know what that would look like. But I think we'd like to give it a shot. And I think the main thing we want to do, you know, even just having the kind of looking back this morning at the accent that played last night, very easy to look at them all and kind of go, Oh, should we be doing this? You know, I was onto Sarah this morning. I said, like, we just have to go and just be ourselves"
