Cork singer and RedFM's Stephanie Rainey received a standing ovation on America's Got Talent last night
Simon Cowell described her performance of "Please Don't Go", a song she wrote about the loss of her young nephew, as "a moment"
Stephanie says she made the decision to go on the show to step out of her comfort zone and reach as many people as possible
Speaking on Neil Prendeville Show Stephanie was tightlipped on whether or not she has made it through to the finals
"I was waiting for that audition to air. I should hopefully know in the next couple of weeks, whether we progress or not, like, the audition has been amazing and it has been absolutely enough if it doesn't go any further than that, it's crazy what I've done already, but I would love to go back and do it again. And it's not to try and get to the final and try and win the show, it's just that I feel like I would enjoy the experience even more because we've done it now"
