The Government has temporarily paused the relocation of Ukrainians from all State-contracted accommodation.

At the start of the year 425 Ukrainians living at the Cork Student Village complex were told they had to move out by March 13th due to obligations under Rent Pressure Zone legislation.

Last month the Department of Integration also paused the decision to relocate up to 400 Ukrainian refugees who had been living in the former Quality Hotel in Youghal.

The Irish Examiner reports that the Department has confirmed that the relocation of Ukrainians from all State-contracted accommodation has been temporarily paused and further information will be provided to residents and providers as soon as possible.
