Residents at coastal areas have hit out at excessive littering and anti social behaviour following the lifting of lockdown measures.

The Echo reports that residents in Church Bay, Fountainstown, Fennel's Bay, Myrtleville and Graball Bay have been faced with rubbish including cans and bottles being left behind by visitors.

It's thought the 220x bus from the City to Crosshaven is bringing young people to the areas in question, who are then leaving their litter behind.

There are two litter wardens are in the Crosshaven area, however it's believed the vast majority of incidents are occurring after 5pm, when the wardens have finished work for the day.
