The residents of Halfway village in Ballinhassig are constantly worried about flooding.

Residents are slow to leave home in case of rain, and they are not there to put down sandbags.

The flooding is unpredictable and there doesn't need to be a rain warning for it to happen, according to residents

Shaun Holly lives in Halfway, Ballinhassig and explains what he thinks causes it,

"The water is flowing off a hill into a stream. The stream goes under the road, but the diameter of the pipe going in is narrower than the pipe under the road, so that causes the water to back up".
