The results of a post mortem examination will determine the course of a Garda investigation following the discovery of a body off the South Link Road near Douglas Village.
The Irish Sun reports that the alarm was raised after the partially clothed body of an unidentified male was spotted lying in a pool of water shortly before 6pm last evening.
The man, who was 39 years of age was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to Cork University Hospital where the State Pathologist will carry out a postmortem examination.
Garda have confirmed to RedFM News that investigations into the man's death are ongoing and the results of the post mortem will determine the course of their investigation.
