Cork County Council says fallen trees are blocking major roads across Cork as a result of Storm Éowyn.
Crews are responding to over 30 incidents of trees down across the county in places such as Macroom, Coachford, Cobh and Mitchelstown.
Senior Engineer Mark O'Sullivan told RedFM News crews will be responding to the worst hit areas which have caused road closures first:
Meanwhile, City Council crews are clearing 15 roads due to fallen trees around the city.
Severe gusts of wind during this mornings Red alert knocked a wall down on the Lee Road along with several trees.
Melbourne Road in Bishopstown and Burke's Lane in Upper Glanmire are closed.
"We're just opening the M8 southbound at Fermoy. There was trees down there. The N71 at Glengarriff remains closed again. Ballygarvan road is closed due to trees down. And we have trees down on the r6 100, between Kinsale and Ballinspittle, the R613 between Five Mile Bridge and Ballinhassig and the R612 Carrigaline Crosshaven road. We're getting a lot of reports in now. We have trees down across the county, and we're continuing to respond to those incidents."

- Macroom, Ummera: Road blocked after tree fell on powerlines.

- Drakes Pool Rabbit Island: Access to Crosshaven completely blocked for emergency services due to tree down.

- R600-196 Ballinspittle to Kinsale: Tree blocking the road just after the bridge.

- Bear Forest Road, Ballyellis, Mallow: Tree down just outside College Wood Estate.

- Glengarriff: Tree down blocking the road in and out, near Glengarriff Golf Club.

- Carrigaline: Tree down outside the gate of Avondale United Pitch, blocking the road to Fernhill.
