The design team for the proposed Luas Light Rail Transit (LRT) in Cork are currently looking at route options.
City councillors have been briefed on the latest updates for the scheme which is aimed at providing a high-capacity, high-frequency public transport link from Mahon to Ballincollig.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland and the National Transport Authority have appointed a design team for the scheme.
The Echo report there will be extensive public consultation on the preferred route with a report
expected by the end of the year.
