There's been a broad welcome to the news that Ryanair is to operate a new route from Cork Airport to Venice.
The new route will operate out of Cork on Tuesdays and Saturdays and is due to take off at the end of March next year.
At the end of last month Ryanair announced a €170 million investment in Cork Airport.
The low fares airline also announced a full recovery of its pre-pandemic passenger capacity with the reopening of its base at the airport.
The investment will bring 20 routes to Cork, including this latest route to Venice.
