An inter-agency search operation is underway in Co Cork after a teenage boy went missing while swimming.
Emergency services attended the scene in Passage West after 2pm.
A Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to the scene this afternoon, while Coast Guard boats and divers are continuing their search of the river.
Units of the County Fire Service, National Ambulance Service, Garda and Cork City Missing Persons were also involved in the operation.
A riverside area in the centre of the town at Railway Street was sealed off but has since reopened, while units of the Fire Service and the Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter have left the scene.
