The search of an area outside the city has entered its fourth day as Gardaí continue their investigation into the disappearance of Kieran Quilligan.
The 47-year-old was last seen in the city centre on the first of September.
Gardaí have been investigating the disappearance of Kieran Quilligan since he was first reported missing on the 4th of September.
He was last seen in the St Finbarr’s Place area of the city at around 9:30 on the night of Friday the first.
A comprehensive search of the area was undertaken and CCTV footage from the city centre was examined.
Gardaí interviewed a man who was seen walking with Kieran on the night he went missing and issued a public appeal for information over a week ago.
On Friday, it emerged that Gardaí were searching an area of farmland and coastline in the Courtstown area of Little Island, which is over 10 kilometres from St Finbarr’s Place.
Investigating officers have not revealed why they are searching there however it’s understood they received information which connected the area to their search.
