A secondary school in North Cork are celebrating today.
A team from the Patrician Academy in Mallow has been crowned the Overall Senior Category Winners of the 2022 Young Environmentalists Awards.
The winning projects were announced via live stream at the Young Environmentalist Awards (YEAs).
Hosted by ECO-UNESCO, the YEAs is an All-Ireland programme that recognises and rewards the efforts of young people aged 10-18 years old for taking positive environmental action.
They celebrated their big win for their environmental action project, 'Bee Brilliant, Boost Biodiversity' at Mallow Castle today.
