SIPTU members in selected Section 39 organisations have voted for strike action in their long running pay dispute
The workers who provide services to those with disabilities, the elderly and other vulnerable groups have voted by a 96% majority for strike action
SIPTU says the ball is now firmly in the hands of the Government which has an opportunity to resolve the issue when employer representatives and unions meet for talks at the Workplace Relations Commission on Monday
Any action will impact SouthDoc services, Co-Action Cork, Cobh Community Hospital, St. Joseph's Foundation and St. Luke's Home in Cork
