"Sex for rent" ads for properties in Mallow and Blarney stated that the landlord is willing to "negotiate a fair price for a female"
Other ads state the landlord would rather a female tenant and is willing to "take payment in unique ways"
Cork People Before Profit Solidarity TD Mick Barry has placed the blame for the rise in these type of ads at the Government's door
"The Government's failure to resolve the housing crisis is creating a space where predatory landlords feel that they can confront potential tenants with a choice between homelessness and sexual exploitation. Furthermore, the government's failure to outlaw this practice is just letting these creeps off the hook"
