Sexual Violence Centre Cork says charging sex for rent is 'black and white' grooming.
They are calling for sex-for-rent exploitation to be recognised as a crime and for legislation to be put in place.
A recent report from the National Women's council showed Ireland to be a "perfect environment" for the exploitation of vulnerable tenants.
Speaking to RedFM news, Mary Crilly from SVCC, says landlords acting nice and friendly about sex-for-rent are being manipulative.
"You know, I've heard from young girls where they've said the guy would kind of be really nice and friendly and kind of say it doesn't have to be every week or it doesn't have to be whenever and if they don't want it, they can stop it. That's just manipulation. That's just grooming. That's what that is. It's not at all been kind of nice and friendly. It's grooming - black and white grooming".
