The iconic bridge linking Sunday's Well to the Mardyke in the city has been undergoing restoration works since August last year.
It was originally due to reopen in April, however the pandemic and issues with two of the companies involved in construction delayed the project.
An interim examiner was appointed to two Keating Group companies in October. The group said the move was caused by Covid, Brexit and trading conditions.
A low-key ceremony to mark the reopening will take place on Thursday and the bridge will open to the public from Saturday.
