Students at UCC will have shorter lectures and will face capacity restrictions in teaching spaces under new "return-to-campus" protocols.
UCC president Prof John O’Halloran outlined the measures for the new academic year in an email to students on Wednesday.
Face-to-face teaching will be permitted but students will be have to wear face coverings during lectures.
Teaching spaces will operate at 80% of the normal room capacity and there will also be an overall cap of
200 attendees, including the lecturer, in the larger lecture theatres.
The duration of lectures will also be reduced to 45 minutes of teaching time.
Students are due to return to campus on September 13.
