Simon Coveney has announced that he is to leave politics
The Minister issued a letter to all members of Fine Gael informing them of his decision and to address any questions about his future in politics
He says throughout his political career he has tried to do what is right for the country and he believes after being in politics since the age of 25, now is the right time to change direction
