Sinn Fein TD Thomas Gould is seeking to address the Dáil amid fraud allegations.
It comes after the Cork North Central TD was arrested and released without charge on Friday in relation to an alledged €150,000 business fraud over a decade ago.
Sinn Fein Councillor Kenneth Collins was arrested and released without charge as part of the same investigation in January.
Sinn Fein party leader Mary Lou McDonald says Deputy Gould has contacted the Ceann Comhairle to address the matter:
"We became aware of this matter in February, Thomas Gould has given a very detailed statement to the Gardaí. He emphatically rejects the accusations made against him. I understand that Thomas Gould has now contacted the Ceann Comhairle and he is seeking the opportunity to address the Dáil on this matter."
