Two men were injured in an explosion while working on the roof of the company's Anngrove building and one of the men remains in a critical condition on life support at CUH after suffering severe burns.
In a statement to the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM, the family of the 41 year old say he was in surgery until late last night and they are keeping vigil at the hospital.
They have described him as a kind, mild mannered family man with a loving wife, baby, young child and stepson who are his world.
