SIPTU is to meet with Kostal workers today after they voted for strike action over changes to the terms and conditions of their employment.
Kostal, which is a car components company, employs around 350 people in Mallow and 800 in Abbeyfeale.
The union says that the company abolished the payment of bonuses for this year, as the company can't afford to pay them.
SIPTU says the company didn't engage with the union in making the decision to cut the bonuses.
The workers voted by 98% in favour of strike action in pursuit or the grievance and 94% voted in favour of industrial action.
SIPTU say they remain available to meet with management to discuss the issue.
