Cork Chocolatiers say soaring cocoa prices are driving up the price of Easter eggs.

Poor cocoa bean harvests due to bad weather have led to a spike in demand from chocolatiers.

Lusso in Ballincollig say the price of Belgian chocolate has increased drastically and it must raise its prices to match high supplier costs.

Speaking to RedFM News, Ian Kerrigan from Lusso says all Easter products will be more expensive this year:

"All of our Easter eggs and products are being driven up by the price of cocoa. And we make all of our eggs and all of our products. The second the price of the cocoa goes up, we have to raise our prices in some way because we want to maintain the quality of the product."
