Some areas in Cork can expect debris on the road and damages after Status Yellow wind and rain alert

It's been a windy night in Cork.

Strong and gusty west to southwest winds and heavy rainfall have hammered parts of Cork and Kerry overnight, with a Met Éireann Yellow Wind and Rainfall warning, which has now expired.

Clare, Limerick, Galway and Mayo are under a Yellow Wind Warning this morning until 8am.

Met Éireann says affected areas can expect falling branches, damage to temporary structures, wave over-topping, and difficult driving conditions.
