Some Students Being Pressured Into Signing Long Term Leases Despite Uncertainty Over Timetables

That's according to UCC Student Welfare Officer Jamie Fraser who has written an open letter to department heads, landlords and students

He's calling for timetables to be released as soon as possible before the majority of classes begin on the 28th of September.

The letter also calls for landlords to be flexible with rent agreements as he says students may be on campus for just one or two days a week due to the pandemic.

Speaking to RedFM News, Student Welfare Officer at UCC Students Union, Jamie Fraser says the uncertainty is taking it's toll on students' mental health:
