Around 60 SIPTU members will walk off the job in Cork and Kerry in a row over the reversal of pay cuts put in place in the wake of the financial crash.
The union say the strike is in response to SouthDoc's refusal to honour an April 2019 Workplace Relations Commission agreement to reverse the cuts.
It's hoped that the issue will be resolved ahead of Friday's planned strike action.
