Staff at a company contracted by Gas Networks Ireland have suspended their picket.
Workers at GMC Civil and Mechanical Engineering bases at Cork, Carlow, Dublin and Limerick began their protest on Wednesday in a row over pay.
SIPTU say they have agreed to enter talks at the Workplace Relations Commission which will begin at 11am.
The company installs and maintains the country's gas network and provides emergency response cover for home and business customers.
