The staffing crisis at the Defence Forces has reached breaking point and could have serious consequences for serving members, according to a representative group.
RACO says the situation has reached a point where it represents a real danger to its members.
Today's day two of the groups annual conference, with Defence Minister Simon Coveney due to address members.
RACO General Secretary, Conor King, says a lack of resources is also a real worry.
"If people are under resourced in, for example, bomb disposal, they get stressed and they get burned out.
"If you have officers who are too junior running live fire tactical training without adequate mentoring or supervision they get burned out and make mistakes.
"The consequences really speak for themselves."
