The city and county were hit with heavy rain overnight leading to localised flooding and difficult driving conditions this morning.

Met Éireann has lifted a yellow warning for rain which was due to be in place until lunchtime today.

Speaking to RedFM News Met Eireann's Michelle Dillon says the forecast for the remainder of the Jazz Weekend is a lot better:

"So we will have mixed weather now over the Bank Holiday weekend, with nothing too impactful. It's going to start off mostly dry on Saturday, some sunshine, especially further east, we will see a band of rain spreading from the Northwest as we go through the day. Then that will clear, some mist and fog overnight some of the nights and then into Sunday, actually it's going to start off dry as well."
