Gardaí were out in force on the Grand Parade this afternoon - as two opposing demonstrations took place.
A group called 'Cork Says No to Racism' began gathering at the National Monument on Grande Parade at noon.
An hour later, 'Ireland First' began it's 'Cork Says No' anti-refugee rally on the same street.
Hundreds attended the protests, although the 'Cork Says No to Racism' rally was significantly bigger.
Speaking to RedFM News, Gardaí said that they were not aware of any physical scuffles between the two groups.
