The med-tech company which employs around 4,000 people in Ireland was announced as the overall winner of Cork Chamber’s Company of the Year Awards 2023 at City Hall last night.

Stryker began operating in Cork in 1998 and employed just 20 people at the time.

Cork Chamber President Ronan Murray said the company have had a huge impact on Cork’s economy and their campus in Cork is a key contributor to their “innovative offering of products and services that impact over 1000 million patients world-wide every year.”

The group unveiled a €280 expansion of their site at Carrigtwohill in August.

Meanwhile, the award for Emerging Cork Company of the Year was won by LegitFit, M&P O’Sullivan were named the winners of the SME award and Amarenco was named Large Cork Company of the Year.
