Students in the city say they can’t bear waiting for buses anymore.

Bus Éireann made cuts to services on 202, 202A, 205,208 and 220 routes this week.

Buses are now running every half an hour instead of 20 minutes while Bus Éireann recruits and trains drivers.

Speaking to RedFM News while waiting for the 205 bus to college, student Cara Bolger says walking is sometimes easier than waiting:

"I feel like the MTU is the most used bus service in the city as far as I know, and residents in Bishopstown, I work in Bishopstown, I have to get the bus there every day and it's gotten to a point now where I take the 40 minute because at least that way I know that I'll be there on time, but if I wait an hour for the 2o5 it might not show up."
